District 50
hawaii Lions COnvention
April 23-25, 2026 - Hilo, HI

Lions from across Hawai‘i gathered in Hilo for the annual District 50 Hawai‘i Lions Convention — a meaningful weekend of Service, Leadership, Celebration, and Aloha. This special event brought together our Lions Big ‘Ohana for essential business sessions including the District Cabinet Meeting, elections, and presentations from club and district leaders. Lions enjoyed a weekend full of tradition and fellowship with highlights such as a golf tournament, a beautiful Flag Ceremony, a spirited Fun Night hosted by our Leos and Hilo Crescent City Young Visionaries, and an inspiring Keynote Address by a Past International President of Lions Clubs International. The convention also featured a recognition and awards ceremonies honoring outstanding service across our district. We concluded the festivities with the District Governor’s Gala — a night of celebration, unity, and pride as we reflected on our achievements and look forward to the year ahead.

Aloha D50 Lions ‘Ohana,

From the bottom of my heart, mahalo.

Our District 50 Hawaiʻi Lions Convention in Hilo this past weekend was truly something special. More than just a gathering, it was a beautiful reminder of who we are and what we can accomplish when we come together in service.

To every Lion, Leo, and guest who attended—thank you for showing up. Your presence, your energy, and your heart for service continue to move our district forward. A special mahalo to those who traveled from neighbor islands and beyond—we know it takes time and sacrifice, and we appreciate you.

Mahalo to our speakers and leaders for sharing your manaʻo, your experience, and your heart. You inspired and uplifted all of us.

A very special mahalo to Lion Gina, Lion Andrew, and our entire Convention Team. Your leadership and all the work behind the scenes made this weekend come together in a powerful way.

We are also deeply grateful to our special guests, PIP Brian Sheehan and Lori Sheehan, for being with us and inspiring us throughout the weekend.

A heartfelt mahalo to PID Bob Lee and Pam Lee for your continued support and guidance. Your leadership and belief in our district mean more than words can express.

To our volunteers—mahalo for your time, your effort, and your willingness to serve. You are the reason everything flowed the way it did.

And to our entire D50 ‘ohana—thank you for continuing to live our motto: We Serve.

As I look ahead, I have 62 days left to serve, and I will give everything I have to help us reach our goals and continue supporting our communities across the state.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s stay visible, keep serving, and continue to take care of one another.

Awesome! And that’s a fact, Jack!

With deep love and aloha,

Bruddah Sean
